If your inbox is anything like mine (I feel for you), there’s no end to the number of resolution-writing guides you’ve received; everything one needs to generate! improve! accomplish! To say nothing of the bad habits you’re sure to (finally) crush.

As aggressive well-meaning as they are, those articles promising more and better ultimately leave me feeling less than.

It’s beyond time for resolution evolution!

Inner-voice coach, author, musician, and podcaster Kelly Covert agrees. “When it comes to habits, I really believe that if we’re intentional about the kind of habits that we have in our life, that that can really go a long way to cultivating that feeling of good enough or what I like to call enoughness.”

Podcasting? Apply for the 2021 Podcast Envy Pro Pod

I am currently taking applications to join our first curated cohort of professionals who podcast (not necessarily professional podcasters) from a variety of entrepreneurial and content creative backgrounds. The vision is 10-12 pros coming together for a monthly strategy session to solve your most pressing questions around growth, sustainability, craft and culture.

This program is for creative business leaders within any industry or niche with at least 6 months podcasting experience. We will not be covering the basics of “how to podcast,” rather deeper topics for which you can’t just Google the answer or post in a Facebook Group.

This experience with you recording a podcast, to me, this is magical. We are creating something that didn’t exist before, and we’re doing this just by the power of our energy and our will and our spirits and these beautiful people that we are — that’s magic!

~Kelly Covert

After years of failing to live up to grand resolutions, Kelly swapped quantitative perfectionism – those mostly material goals our culture loves to measure – for kinder habits.

“I think that it really takes a lot of courage to be able to say, ‘you know what? It doesn’t have to look like this. I don’t have to do it this way; things can be different. I can change how I believe and what I believe is possible for myself with my own actions.’”

Kelly distilled these techniques into a quarterly journal called The Enoughness Planner. I love this format! Unlike traditional goal-setting, this guide prompts participants to discern the difference between conditioned expectations and deeply-rooted intentions.

Once identified, you create a personalized routine to support what Kelly calls everyday worthiness. After that, it’s just a matter of building upon activities that make you feel good rather than ticking tasks off a homogenized list of accomplishments.

Kinder habits and everyday worthiness. Better goals for the New Year.
